Dragon Ball Z, an anime, adapted from the manga cartoon created by manga artist Akira Toriyama, tells the story of an alien, who was sent to Earth to destroy it, but decided to join the humans in their fights against other enemies.

As Mexican Newspapaer El Norte states, 20th Century Fox is going to film a movie based on Dragon Ball Z. The plot develops around the warrior child Goku and his enemy Evil Vegueta, who will be involved in a mortal fight for the Earth. The director of the new coming action movie will be James Wong, but the actors for the roles haven’t been decided yet.

The shooting is planned to start in January 2008, in different locations of Mexico, such as Durango and the volcano Nevado de Toluca, and is going to be of benefit to the city, which is in need of personnel, equipment, and transportation.

As Durango’s Tourism and Cinematography Director Susan Elosegui Cross said, “the movie will supply the city with jobs and a significant amount of money”.
