Warner Brothers is beginning to give fans a clearer idea of who they can expect to see in the upcoming Justice League of America movie, although official confirmation is still pending. The movie, directed by George Miller, is set to feature Adam Brody as the Flash, Common as Green Lantern, Scott Porter as Superman, and Teresa Palmer as Talia Al Ghul.
The Justice League of America was created by Detective Comics and debuted in 1960, preceded in the 1950s by a similar group of superheroes called the Justice Society of America. They underwent different stages of evolution in the comic book universe and were also reproduced in animation and on television. The Warner Brother movie, set for a 2009 release, will be the first time the superhero team make it to the big screen.
Movies based on comic books are notorious for either being big hits or big bombs. It remains to be seen how Justice League of America will fare.
