Justice League Movie Takes Shape

Warner Brothers is beginning to give fans a clearer idea of who they can expect to see in the upcoming Justice League of America movie, although official confirmation is still pending. The movie, directed by George Miller, is set to feature Adam Brody as the Flash, Common as Green Lantern, Scott Porter as Superman, and Teresa Palmer as Talia Al Ghul.

The Justice League of America was created by Detective Comics and debuted in 1960, preceded in the 1950s by a similar group of superheroes called the Justice Society of America. They underwent different stages of evolution in the comic book universe and were also reproduced in animation and on television. The Warner Brother movie, set for a 2009 release, will be the first time the superhero team make it to the big screen.

Vind Diesel is back to Fast & Furious

The Fast and the Furious series has a huge fan base, and accordingly there has always been an enormous wish for a Fast and the Furious 4. So now the fans of the high speed movie may rejoice, as the rumor says that the 4th Fast and the Furious film is already in production, moreover, it will bring back some of the previous stars, such as Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. This is going to be a true heaven for the hardcore fans, as the film may have a mix of new and classic cars, like the 1970 Dodge Challenger, Chevrolet Opala and a 1987 Buick GNX. The action will probably take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil or in Mexico.

Rumors also say that Vin Diesel invited Don Omar to join the cast and play himself in the upcoming movie. Though Omar’s answer is not known yet, it’s likely that he’ll join the cast, having in mind the success the series had previously.

Steven Spielberg gets Lifetime Achievement Award

Steven Spielberg is without a doubt one of the most influential personalities in the film history, and is possibly Hollywood’s best known director and one of the wealthiest filmmakers in the world. Spielberg has countless top-grossing, critically acclaimed credits to his name. Who hasn’t seen at least one movie that was written, produced, or directed by this super talented person? With Oscar winner’s such as Schindler’s List we witnessed the horrors endured by the jews during the World War II, Jurassic Park gave us a chance to see in flesh the dinosaurs that inhabited our planet 65 million years ago, the adventures of charming Indiana Jones awarded us with long hours of fun and entertainment. The director also shot one of the classic horror movies of all time - Jaws, a dreadful tale about a cannibal shark which still gives chills to anyone who dares enter an ocean.

Spielberg has made too many great movies to mention, and the amount is still growing. The scope and genres of his films are different, and almost every Spielberg movie wins an Oscar or at least gets nominationed to Academy Awards, such as Jaws with 3 oscars and Schindler’s List with 7 oscars.

The Shock Doctrine, the Short Film

Canadian author, journalist, and activist Naomi Klein in her new book The Shock Doctrine speaks about the development of shock treatment methods in the 1950s by the CIA as a part of breaking prisoners down to a state for susesptable to manipulation.  The book and short film try to spread the idea, that governments finds it easy and convenient to use natural disasters, terrorist attacks, and other shocking events to instantly commence unpopular policies and agendum while the population is in a state of shock.

After finishing the book, the writer sent it to director Alfonso Cuaron in hopes to receive a quote from him to use it for the cover of the book, but instead, unexpectedly got a proposal to make a short film - The Shock Doctrine.

Dragon Ball Z Movie

Dragon Ball Z, an anime, adapted from the manga cartoon created by manga artist Akira Toriyama, tells the story of an alien, who was sent to Earth to destroy it, but decided to join the humans in their fights against other enemies.

As Mexican Newspapaer El Norte states, 20th Century Fox is going to film a movie based on Dragon Ball Z. The plot develops around the warrior child Goku and his enemy Evil Vegueta, who will be involved in a mortal fight for the Earth. The director of the new coming action movie will be James Wong, but the actors for the roles haven’t been decided yet.
